Louis Valore: Music

something divine

this is another song from my brand new "rock n roll dance party" cd..
this song is very 1950's oriented as far as the lead and backing vocals
are concerned.. the lyrics are purposely simple and innocent..
reflecting the dream of true love in that era..
the sad thing is that i think that no matter what era we find ourselves
living in, true love is something every heart truly desires..
anyway, back to the song.. musically, it's a straight 1950's
chord pattern.. there's a nice guitar effect going on in
the background.. (a phase shifter for all you musicians)..
there's also some background synth. towards the end which reflects
the mystery of man trying to reach the divine but always
seeming to come up short.. all in all, a nice song!!
i used to think that love was a joke..
love.. just a joke..
and i used to think..
that dreams never spoke..
dreams.. never spoke..
but then you said to me..
life can truly be..
something divine..
something in your eyes..
swept away the lies..
something divine..
i used to think that pain was a friend..
pain.. my best friend..
cause all of my dreams..
would come to an end..
come to an end..
but then you said to me..
life can truly be..
something divine..
something in your eyes..
swept away the lies..
something divine..
