this song is really really cool!! it started off as an acoustic song, but gradually evolved as i got deeper and deeper into the recording..
it's about a guy who gets to hang out with the hottest woman on earth..
the only problem is that he can't see her unless he's sleeping!! she only comes to him in a dream.. so i had to musically make the song sound dreamy and exciting at the same time.. which i think i accomplished as the song roars to it's climax..(musically speaking)!! (:)
the synth. break is really hot, almost r n b.. it's quite rare for me to solo on the synth. so it was quite an adventure!! as usual, i did it in one take as it gives it a live band feel.. the synth.itself is my trusty korg triton, which i put thru a boss crunch guitar effect.. nice sound!! very dreamy!! i also tryed to weave the lead guitar around the synth. solo by panning the guitar from left to right rather than have two solos going toe to toe with each other.. the rest of the music consists of an acoustic guitar, and a herman munster type keyboard riff that follows the "time to go to sleep again" line the first two verses.. this song will be on my new cd.. the only problem is that it kind of changed the direction of the cd.. meaning i will have to record a few more tunes to see how i can blend them all together.. i hope that makes sense to you, cause it certainly doesn't to me!! (: let me know what y'all think!!
