loneliness.. the universal pain.. no matter how close we might be to other people, there's that inner longing inside of every one of us.. looking at the vastness of the universe and how small we appear to be is something that haunts all of us.. this song captures that inner yearning.. the fact that no matter who we're with and what we are doing, we are still all alone.. as far as the song itself goes, it's got a pretty basic blues type melody that hops along to a "light my fire" type chord pattern.. to me, the highlight of the song is the synth. solo. kind of bluesy out of space sounding.. there's a guitar echoing every other line in the verses.. i mixed it into the background to give it more of a haunting type feel. i'm very good at haunting people!! lol!!
